Mida õpib EBS-s. Väga vähe... vaid 9 tõde, mis suunavad tervet su elu....
EBS tahaks kujundada oma lõpetajates järgmisi väärtusi-suhtumisi-arusaamu-veendumusi.
Rektori kaasavara lõpetajatele.
Mis väärtusi annab EBS? Olen mõtisklenud palju sel teemal. Ma tahaks, et meie lõpetajad peaks oluliseks järgnevat üheksat väärtust-suhtumist-arusaama-veendumust.
Edu tuleb raske töö kaudu. Siiski peaks silmad-kõrvad lahti hoidma ja prioriteete panema. Edu ei saavutata igal pool sugugi võrdse tõenäosuse ja kiirusega. Kuid: ilma rasket tööd tegemata edu ei tule.
Enne targaks siis rikkaks. See ei ole jutt ainult sisseastujale. Valgeks inimeseks saadakse samm-sammult. Elujärje stabiilne paranemine tagab õnnelikuma elu kui järsud tõusud-mõõnad. Lõhki ei tasu laenata. Majanduses on langusi. Elu ei ole rulett. Lugege veel kord „Rikas isa ja vaene isa”.
Tagasihoidlikkus on voorus aga ilma selleta saab paremini elus läbi. Suhtlemisjulgus. Initsiatiiv. Suhtlemisoskus, loetagu läbi kas või Carnegie raamat ja arutatagu seda. Kriitikajulgus. Head juhid on mõõdukalt agressiivsed. See ei tähenda ainult sõnu, vaid ka pilku, hääletooni, biovälja. Ka oskust kuri olla nii, et seda õigeks peetaks.
Enesevalitsemine, mis peab säilima ka lahingolukorras. Suppi ei sööda nii kuumalt kui keedetakse. Iga asi on millelegi hea. Loe kümneni jne.
Pühendumus. Kui midagi teete, siis tehke hingega. Leigus on negatiivne omadus. Tööd kas tehakse või ei tehta. Nägude tegijaid ei edutata. Hingega tegemist saab õppida kui tahta ja püüda.
Eetilisus. Eestis saab oma äripartnerit petta üks kord. Edasi tuleb leppida tublisti viletsamate võimalustega. Pangad ei anna laenu või laenuprotsendid on tublisti kõrgemad kui enne. Sõna äripartnerile või töökaaslasele on suuline leping.
Ühiskonna arengule kaasaaitamine. Elatakse teatud territooriumil ja elada on seal parem kui seal olukord parem. Reageerimine ühiskonna probleemidele. Mitte ainult nõrgemate, vaid kõigi oma lähedaste toetamine. Kui igaüks kulutaks selle peale kas või 5 min. päevas, annaks see kokku palju. Panus ei pruugi olla sugugi ainult raha, vaid ka aeg ja suhtumine. Andja rõõm on tähtis asi.
Positiivsus. Vast ehk üks eestlaste kõige suurem puudujääk. Positiivsus ja inimese meeldivus istuvad ühel pingil. Negatiivse inimesega ei taha keegi olla.
Masinat tuleb määrida. Neljakümnendat sünnipäeva ei tasu tähistada infarktiga. Ka pensionil olles peab tervis võimaldama elust mõnu tunda. Üliandekad peavad suutma ka peale 70-ndat eluaastat istuma Nõukogudes ja Riigikogus või õpetama ülikoolides. Elu määrdeained on edukas ja huvitav töö, perekond, sõbrad, vaba aja hobid jne.
Ma arvan, et kui EBS suudaks oma lõpetajatele anda need 9 väärtust, oleks nad edasises elus mõnevõrra edukamad ja õnnelikumad kui ilma selleta.
